1×3 KD Finger-Joint S1S2E Primed Western Red Cedar

  • Priming is never intended to be a finish coat.
  • Second primer coat recommended prior to top coat.
  • Top coat required within 14 days after installation.
  • Best practice is to finish all sides prior to installation.
  • All field cuts must be finished.

KD finger-jointed primed western red cedar is made up of shorter pieces glued together for use in projects like siding, trim, and fascia. It should not be used in applications like decking which have a required level of structural integrity. These finger jointed boards are meant to be primed and painted to cover the checkered pattern that can occur when the naturally varying colors of western red cedar are all joined together. A second coat of primer is recommended to help seal in tannins before applying your topcoat.
